Some great action shots from today when the Agnes Water young guns took on our top junior tennis players in Bundaberg for a day of jam packed match play. The Agnes Water crew got some much needed time on court in readiness for the schools competition in Brisbane in early January. Overall it was a fantastic day of tennis for all participants with some excellent tennis and sportsmanship on display.
Players from Agnes Water will lock horns with the Bundy players this Saturday morning at Rotary Park.
In some cases there will be repeat Challenges from the recent Bundaberg COVID19 Junior Development Series held a few weeks back.
Players from the ANZ Hots Shots Green Ball Program will also be joining in.
This will give Agnes Water valuable match practice as they prepare to compete in the Schools Competition in Bris hopefully in January.
MURRAY WHITBREAD COACHES PROFILE Where did you grow up? I grew up in Tasmania and was surrounded by the amazing bays and hills and I used to enjoy swimming there a lot. How did you get into tennis? As a young child I used to go with my family to play bowls and I continued to watch through the fence at people playing tennis. I thought it was a fascinating sport and that’s how I got into tennis at 11 years old. How long have you been a coach at the club? Since 1967 Favourite player current/past? In the past

What's your thoughts?
What local tournament would you like to see played, who would you like to see compete?
Perhaps a city vs country or teams relay style knock out.

It is with great sadness we announce the Brisbane International will not be taking place in Queensland in 2021. All lead in events to the Australian Open will be held in Victoria to ensure all players can safely compete in, and prepare for, the Grand Slam. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Brisbane in 2022. Full statement on our website.
